Mount Elbrus is located in the Caucasus Mountains, Russia, has two peaks, the highest peak of the West (5642 masl) and the lower East Peak (5621 masl). The climb to the highest peak Elbrus can be done via two pathways, North and South. The most common is the path where the climb begins south at an altitude of 3800 masl. Previous hikers can use the cable car that starts at an altitude of 2200 masl Azau. North path less frequently climbed as it has a higher difficulty level than the southern path. This path is recommended only for experienced mountaineers and had a good mountaineering skills and typically the climbers who are looking for more challenges will choose the path of the North. Season to climb Mount Elbrus in the month of June to September, but the Northern Line is only recommended to climb in July-August.
