KILIMANJARO, Tanzania, Afrika



Kilimanjaro (5895 masl) is the highest peak in Africa and one of the most beautiful places in the world. Located in Tanzania, near the border with Kenya, Mount Kilimanjaro is a non-technical climb that can be climbed by anyone with good weather conditions. Kilimanjaro is a dead volcano with three peaks, Kibo (5895 masl), Shira (3962 masl), and Mawenzi (5194 masl), which received the title of "the tallest freestanding mountain in the world". Kilimanjaro word comes from the Swahili language meaning white mountain, referring to the visible peaks covered with snow. There are five routes to climb the highest peak of Kilimanjaro. Climbing routes are considered to be easy and requires no special climbing techniques. Ascent can also be done throughout the year without a specific climbing season. The biggest challenge is the altitude (High Altitude). More climbers who died of altitude sickness on Kilimanjaro than fall.
